Hi, I would like to go into teaching but don't have a degree so can't enrol on a PGCE course. I've got an accountancy qualification with CIMA which according to the OU website is worth 240 points. Are there any degree courses which would use the 240 points in full?

Answer by voluntary user(s)

Hi Rebecca, contact the OU on 0845 300 60 90 to talk through your options.

Hi my name is aldren i'm an international student i've been here in uk for almost 9 months. i just to inquire if you are accepting international students. do you have full time courses on nvq health care? what are the qualifications on this course? actually i'll be finishing my studies here at parklane college and planning to go to another school because they don't have nvq health care at parklane college.

thank you so much and hope you can help me.

Answer by voluntary user(s)

I got this information from a colleague who had done the NVQ course.

Excel College - NVQ course

Many colleges can't enrol students if they don't work as a healthcare staff even as a voluntary worker where they can be assessed.

Being an international student, expect a higher tuition fees. It requires a CRB (Criminal Record Bureau) check.

Subject: Psychology programmes- Posted May 11, 2009 9:30 am

Alexandros Argyropoulos

Hello, I am interested in studying Psychology - I already have a BA in Political Science and MA in International Affairs and am presently enrolled in a 5-year course in Group Analysis here in Greece. My questions are as follows: a. Would it be best for me to apply for a Bachelor's or Master's programme? b. How long does it take to complete studies in either programme? c. What is the cost of either of those two? Many thanks in advance!

Answer by voluntary user(s)

It depends on what you want to do with a qualification in Psychology. If you want to work in that field, you would need to do further study than a Psychology degree (or a masters at that). The OU offers a Diploma in Psychology (Conversion for Postgraduates) where your first degree is used and topped up with some Psychology courses. It can help you get into the BPS if required.
