I am considering doing a Nursing course. Are the OU nursing qualification recognised in the Republic of Ireland?

Answer by voluntary user(s)

The OU courses are for those registered as nurses already, so don't consider this unless you're already in the profession.

Hi. I looked up the course I wanted to do at OU & it says the average time it'll take me to complete is 4 years. I was wondering if I can do it in 3? For e.g. do my level 1 & 2 together? Plz reply asap. Thnx

Answer by voluntary user(s)

Better to do Level 1 first then do two courses together. I did and it was fine.

You can do all sorts of degrees in the social sciences at the OU, it is arguably one of its largest schools.

Hello, I was just wondering if I could take on 2 or 3 10-point courses at one time
Thanks

Answer by voluntary user(s)

It depends on how much time you can put in. This depends on your circumstances: a single person who is unemployed is likely to have more time than an employed person with a family.

So.. yes it is possible.

The OU normally doesn't offer courses to those in Tanzania. I believe there is a similar type of university based in South Africa that does however, called UNISA.

  • The Open University is literally the largest distance learning university in the UK with 180,000 students enrolled at any one time. OpenUniversityUK.co.uk an attempt by present learners and alumni to assist other interested or present students find relevant information as easily as possible. Launched on the 13th of December, 2007, this web site aims to be an index or guide to the official web site www.open.ac.uk. This is a system where administrators and students can contribute by answering questions that other users have.

To contribute, we can be contacted at contact@openuniversityuk.co.uk. Email us with your ideas and and details of how you would like to contribute. You can voluntarily answer questions, provide photos/videos, help in programming, design of this web site or write content etc. The Open University already has a very informative website, but some information can be difficult to find. We will provide links to relevant pages on the official web site along with details not mentioned elsewhere.

We are working to create a system which will enhance interactivity amongst students. In order to generate funds for growth, this website displays advertisements. These are not intended for individual profit.

The Open University maintains a very informative site, with almost all minute details, answers to most general questions. Despite all that, many present students or admission seekers are not able to find information because they need an expert to understand their requirements and reply personally.
